What is a Physiatrist? Can They Really Help Low Back Pain?

Blue Ridge Region

To say that low back pain is common would be an understatement.  It is the second most common reason that people see their primary care physician.  Most people, about 60 to 90%, will experience at least one episode of low back pain in their lifetime.  This often resolves on its own without medical treatment, but...

Dr. Hankley helped me be totally at ease during these injections that I had. I had really dreaded having the epidural, but thanks to the good doc, it was a piece of cake. The other two steroid shots that I had was nothing like I was expecting, which was good.

I could not live without Dr. Hankley. He has taken care of my orthopedic situations with kindness, understanding & thorough knowledge for many years. I get a lot of epidural injections as well, and he is an expert in this treatment. His nurse, Loretta, is also a jewel.
